Business technology assessment
Start with a conversation, not a commitment
Start with a short, no-cost preliminary assessment. We’ll learn what you want to improve and determine whether a deeper assessment makes sense. If it does, we’ll agree on the scope and fee first. You’ll receive a practical roadmap, and the assessment fee can be applied toward an agreed implementation project.
Free and paid, explained
Two steps, clearly separated
The free step is about understanding and fit. The paid step is a real piece of work with a defined scope and a useful result.
Free
Preliminary assessment
- A short form or phone call to start
- A conversation about your goals, current setup, and constraints
- An honest view of whether we can help and whether deeper work is worthwhile
- No charge and no obligation
It is a conversation starter, not an automated audit, valuation, or benchmark.
Paid, only if it makes sense
Business assessment
- Scope and fee agreed in writing before work starts
- Interviews, system and process review, and analysis
- A prioritized roadmap with findings, opportunities, estimated effort, and assumptions
- Fee can be applied toward an agreed implementation project
How the fee is applied is set out in the proposal for your implementation project.
Deliverables
What a paid assessment gives you
Current-state findings
How the business runs today across systems, data, processes, security, and customer acquisition, including what is working.
Opportunities, ranked
Where improvement would matter most to growth, margin, capacity, or risk, in priority order.
Estimated effort and investment
Rough ranges for time, cost, and internal involvement, so you can plan and compare options.
Business-case assumptions
The reasoning behind each recommendation, stated plainly so you can test it against what you know.
A phased roadmap
What to do first, what can wait, and what to keep, in a sequence the business can absorb.
Yours to keep
The roadmap remains useful whether you implement it with us, with someone else, or on your own.
Who this tends to fit
Established businesses, often in the range of a few million to around twenty million dollars in annual revenue, with lean teams and no integrated technology leadership. That is a guide, not a rule.
- A viable business with a meaningful opportunity to improve
- An owner or leader who is engaged and can make decisions
- Capacity to invest once the case is clear
- Willingness to change some processes, not just tools
Questions about the assessment
Is the preliminary assessment really free?
Yes. It is a conversation to understand your business and goals and decide together whether a deeper assessment is worthwhile. There is no charge, credit card, or obligation.
Will the online form give us a score or recommendations?
No. A few answers aren’t enough for responsible recommendations, so we don’t generate instant scores or estimates. The form helps us prepare for a useful first conversation.
How is the paid assessment priced?
It is scoped to your business—its size, complexity, and what you want examined—and we agree on the scope and fee in writing before any paid work begins.
What if we don’t hire you for the implementation?
That is fine. The roadmap is designed to be useful on its own. If you do proceed with an agreed implementation project, the assessment fee can be applied toward it under the proposal terms.
Can an adviser or manager start this for the owner?
Yes. Advisers, managers, and family members exploring options on a business’s behalf are welcome. We will want to involve the decision-maker before recommending paid work.
What information should we not send?
Please don’t include passwords, patient information, financial statements, or other sensitive records. We never need those to begin.
